ACC Club Day – supporting “Maggie’s – Here for everyone living with Cancer”

Dear Member,

Please see below details of this year’s Club Day which is taking place this Sunday 25th July.

As well as a great opportunity to get as many of the Club together as possible, we will be using the day to support Mike and Alison Aplin’s fundraising for Maggie’s Centres.

It would be great if you could make it down to the Club during the day as your support will be very welcome.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Kind regards

Martin Firbank
Vice Chairman
Attenborough Cricket Club

This will be 9 a side competition.

We will have 4 teams who will play 3 league matches and the top 2 teams will play in the final.

The cost to play will be £10 per player – which will include a bacon cob (vegetarian options are available) at the start of the day and burger / hot dog from the barbecue.

All the surplus from the match tax will go to the charity fundraising.

Fundraising for Maggie’s

We will be running a cake stall during the day and will be selling raffle tickets for the raffle which will be drawn at the end of the day.

We have had a number of generous offers for cakes and raffle prizes, but would be happy to accept more. Please let me know if you can help out.

The raffle prizes include a hamper, wine, beer, chocolates, cricket clothing and equipment, a four-ball voucher for Chilwell Manor Golf Club and a free physio session.

As part of the fundraising, we have been selling 100 squares for a B3 Bat Prize draw. This will take place at the end of the day.

We will also be having a barbecue, which will be available from 1pm.

Refreshments

The Bar will be open from 12 noon.

The Tuck Shop will be open during the day, selling its usual selection of hot and cold drinks, sweets and ice creams, and the bar will also be open.

Car Parking

We will ask the players who play in the main game to park in the main car park next to the Pavilion and that everyone else park using the entrance at the top of the Strand.

Please park your car as far away from the nets as possible.

Thank you & enjoy the day.
