Player Profiles #26 – Arjun Sandhu

Playing role: Bowler.

Batting style: Right hand tailender.

Bowling style: Right hand bowl at the stumps. Occasionally the ball drifts but it definitely doesn’t spin!

Highest score: 93* from 40 overs! In the same game, Muzz got 46 in less than 20 balls!!

Best bowling figures: 6/42 when I bowled seam.

Amateur cricketing hero(es): Too many but here is a small list of them… Andrew Simkiss, Martin Rayner, Thom Murray (Muzz), Carl Whelan, Sam Clulow, Peter Bateman, Steve Allcoat, Chris Allcoat, Dominic Harvey, Charlie Simkiss and Alec McKinlay (Macca).

Favourite cricketer: Virat Kohli. #bleedblue

Favourite ACC moment: Again, I have too many but here are a few…

1) The 2008 season when we won everything!
2) Playing in the game when Carl Whelan got 8 wickets! It was more than 12 years ago and I haven’t seen a bowling performance like that since. Inspirational.
3) Anytime Macca was at the crease! The 196 at Balderton was magnificent and I believe that was his highest club score.
4) A couple from last year… Martin Rayner and Tom Shields being the heroes with the bat at Fiskerton. The other is George Barker and Dominic Harvey in the clutch at The Strand against the Cavs.

Favourite movie: Scarface.

Favourite meal: Chicken, rice and peppers.

Biggest passion/hobby outside of cricket: Playing snooker & other sports, listening to music (mainly Travis Scott!), gaming and socialising.

What does ACC mean to you: I joined the club more than 14 years ago and I have made so many great friends for life in that time. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I am really proud to be a part of this cricket club 🙂
