The Club Day kicks off at 9am on Sunday 7 July with the players meeting to help set up the ground. Bacon cobs will be available for players and officials from 9.30am when the teams (made of up seniors and juniors eligible to play in Senior Cricket) and format of the competition will be announced. The first match will start at 10am and the games will run through the day, with the aim to be finished around 5pm. It will cost £10 per person, which includes playing, a bacon cob in the morning and then food later in the day. We will be running a number of other activities in the space by the nets. The All Stars session will start at 10am and run for an hour. They will be followed by the Women and Girls squad who will play a couple of games between 11.15am and 12.30pm. Finally the Kwik Cricketers will play two games from 1pm until around about 2.30pm. For those people involved in these activities, please park using the first gate on the Strand and park on the other side of the nets. We will be joined by representatives of the Notts Cricket Board and Nottinghamshire CCC, including the Club Mascot, Nuts the Squirrel during the morning. John’s tuck shop will be open during the day and the bar and barbecue will both open in the afternoon. We will also be drawing the grand prize draw, so if you haven’t already returned your tickets, please do so by the weekend. Family and friends are all very welcome and we look forward to seeing you at the Strand on Sunday to enjoy the Club celebrations.
