An update on the 'jobs list' as itemised a few weeks ago.......
The car park has been 'line marked' and the post and chain link surrounding the car park is almost complete.
The veranda rails and bike rack have been painted with two coats of paint as has the cellar ceiling. A big thank you to the 'Saga Team' - (John, Graham, Rod, Peter, Nick, Rob & Carl) plus Sam R for their work recently on this.
This weekend (Sat 23rd - morning) Howard is installing the new pavilion canopies - being sited outside the players changing rooms. He needs some help on this job for about an hour, say 10am onwards, if you are able.
Upcoming jobs where further help will be needed:
* Installation of new wooden fencing near the hedge (to complete what was started last year).
* Refurbishment of the training nets and matting.
We aim to complete all of the above before our Club Cricket Force day - scheduled for Saturday 6th April - so that this day can focus on getting the covers ready, tidying the ground, and cleaning the exterior of the pavilion etc etc.
Also, not only have we also purchased a new set of sight screens as previously advised, to match those bought last year, but we have also bought a new 'roll on/roll off' cricket training cage which will be ready for use when we train outdoors.
So lots happening, although it's the closed season - all designed to improve your cricketing and spectating experiences - Seniors and Juniors. Please try and help in any way you can, in any of the above and look out for future communications when further volunteer 'person power' will be needed.
Don't leave it all to the Saga team!
