The cricket season hasn’t even started but the planning for the biggest event of the year is well under way.
After the great success of the inaugural beer festival in 2017, this year’s one will be bigger better and hopefully blessed with the same fantastic weather.
The 1st team are playing at home in the Notts Premier League on Bank Holiday Monday so we have decided to extend the festival from Thursday the 24th through to Monday the 28th of May.
Opening hours being 5 to 11pm on the Thursday and Friday. And, 2 to 11pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
We have increased the number of beers to 16 with 4 ciders and the same high quality range of food and pickles will be available throughout the weekend.
Part of the success of last year’s event was the fact that we were able to obtain sponsorship by club members, associates and companies for each of the barrels. With the number of barrels increasing, we will be looking for more sponsors this year and hope that individuals or groups of people will get together to support us and make the event even more of a success than 2017.
The cost is the same as last year at £75 but as an incentive we are offering each sponsor 10 tokens to spend at the beer festival bar which represents the equivalent of 5 pints.
With the expansion of the event we will need more people to help out over the course of the weekend serving beer to the masses who will no doubt join us over the 4 days. Even if it’s only an hour or two, your help would be gratefully received. Look out for publicity via the club’s social media channels in the coming weeks and please distribute the information to your own contacts, friends and anyone else you know to help us publicise the festival.
If you are prepared to sponsor a barrel or offer some help and support over the course of the weekend then please e-mail - email@example.com or by text to 07976 838241. Also, you could speak to Tim behind the bar in the early part of the season.
Thanks in anticipation of your support.
