Weekend report 16th July

The 1s were away at Farnsfield and winning the toss they bowled first and they made 226 all out, Adam Iyer with 4-52. In reply Byron Haycock stood out making a gritty 92 and Burhan Alam 46* falling short 179-7, full scorecard here. The 2s were at home against Carrington and had an early finish, batting first they were knocked over for 64 Jai Jandu top scored with 16. In the chase Carrington reached the target within 13 overs for the loss of only 1 wicket, full scorecard here. The 3s were at home and played out a thriller against Chilwell, batting first they made 173-7 Lucas Steniford 44 and Sam Randall 42. In reply Chilwell started brightly but slipped from 116-2 to 160 all out, helped by Colin McConnelll 7-33, full scorecard here. The 4s were away to Farndon and bowling first managed to bowl out farndon for 104, Josh Noble 3-17. They manged to chase it in 30 overs with Carl Knight top scoring 54 and Mason Tolley 34, full scorecard here. Both Sunday teams were without fixtures so an interclub game was organised and played in a gentle spirit. The U19s fixture Tuesday has been cancelled but training will still be on and good luck to all squirrels in the next week...
