Weekend report 4th May

The 1s were away against the academy and losing the toss they bowled first and the academy posted 270, Andrew Simkiss staring with 3-38. In chasing they started positively but lost wickets frequently eventually falling short 201-9, Ben Bhabra 44 and Dom Harvey with a defiant 29* full scorecard here. The 2s were at the strand against Plumtree 2s bowling first they limited Plumtree to 147 Chris Tolley picking up 6 wickets. In reply the 2s struggled and were knocked over for 88, full scorecard here. The 3s were at long lane against Stapleford who put the home side into bat on a difficult wicket and were bowled out for 81, sadly this didn't pose much of a challenge as the visitors knocked it off 3 down, full scorecard here. The 4s played away at Newark batting first they posted 144-6, young Lucas Stentiford top scoring with 43*. Newark then chased it within 34 overs 3 down with both Gibsons picking up a wicket each, full scorecard here. Sunday saw the 1s away to Colston Bassett, bowling first they made good use of the uncovered wicket knocking over the opposition for 92, the wickets shared evenly. They chased it down with Bryon Haycock 34* and Martin Firbank 30, full scorecard here.
Next week sees the 1s at home against Plumtree, the 2s away to Ellersile, the 3s away to Southwell, the 4s at long lane against Wollaton. Sunday 1s are at home to Radcliffe with the 2s away at Woodborough, good luck all...
