Senior cricket

Premier League Cricket returns to Attenborough at 12 noon on Saturday 22 April, when West Indian Cavaliers visit the Strand.  As the season opening Saturday game, it would be great to see as many players and supporters at the ground to cheer on the team for captain Ryan Swiers’ first match in charge.

The Newark Alliance Sunday games start the week before on 16 April at 2pm when we host PCCC at the Strand.  There will also be two T20 matches on Sunday 23 April; firstly the 1st XI play Plumtree in a cup game at 12 noon, followed by a friendly match against Young Lions at 3.45pm.

We have a players meeting after nets on Tuesday 18 April, starting at 8pm.  It would be great to get as many players down as possible to talk about the plans for the season.  Chairman Nick Allcoat has promised a free drink at the bar for all players who attend.  Players will also have the opportunity to pay their annual subscriptions on the night and take advantage of the early season discount.

Attenborough have long been renowned for their cricket teas.  We are still have a few spaces to fill for this season, so if you are able to help out (or know someone who could) please let one of the captains know.
