Sunday 2nds at Car Colston

Attenborough won toss & batted, experience of Phil Beecham leading the way with 58 backed up brilliantly by two young colts Tom Black scoring 25 and Seb Sayer 24. Total of 166 for 6 in 40 overs.

Excellent tea, highlight being outstanding home made carrot cake and chocolate cake.

Car Colston innings never got going, with excellent all round bowling performance, and were bowled out for 106 in 29 overs:-
Rod Kitching 8-3-14-4
Joe Gibson 7-1-22-1
Seb Sayer 6-1-14-2
Nick Gibson 6 0-30-2
Tom Black 2-0-22-1

Seb Sayer was impressive, Colin McConnell took an outstanding catch at Long Off rolling back the years. Nick Gibson took two good catches with the second one off his son Joe’s bowling which was the first time this had happened for them. I managed to con the opposition yet again by bowling straight at the stumps!! Overall 3 catches & 7 clean bowled.

My thanks to Gordon for coming out to umpire at short notice.

Rod Kitching
