Youth Section - Summer Season 2015

Registration Evening
Registration evening will be on Friday 24th April commencing at 6.30pm at the Strand. A registration form and our Child Safeguarding Policy and Club Codes of Conduct are available on the Clubmark page of our website.

The club will be firing up the BBQ for the first time on the night. We hope we can count on your support and good weather!

The junior membership fee for 2015 is £40 for the 17 weeks of training. There is no extra charge for junior matches in any age group.


Spring / Summer Outdoor Training
Outdoor sessions will be held at The Strand from Friday 1st May through to the final session on Friday 21st August for all age groups. Sessions are from 6.30pm until 8.00pm.

In the event of adverse weather, we will post a message on the junior club website ( ) by 5.30pm on training night.  Please check the website before setting off if in any doubt.

2015 Junior Teams
This year we will be fielding the following teams:
Under 15s (Year 9 & 10) - Andy Waddle

Under 13s (Year 8) - Arjun Sandhu

Under 12s (Year 7) - Carl Knight

Under 11s (Year 6) - Carl Knight        

Kwik Cricket (years 3 to 5) - Barrie Humphriss

Hardball league and cup fixtures will be posted on both the Calendar page of our main website ( and on the Club's Play Cricket website ( as soon as they are released.

As per last year, two Kwik cricket teams have been entered into the Sunday morning league with venues and dates posted on the website as soon as they are released. Times / dates are; all on Sunday mornings 10.00 until 12.00 on May 31st, June 7th (Home), June 14th, June 21st (Home), June 28th and July 12th. Arrive 9.30.

Presentation Evening
Our presentation evening will be held on Friday 4th September at The Strand.

I hope this will be a great opportunity to get together and reflect on a successful season. Further details to follow.

And finally
Attenborough Youth Section pride themselves on their junior members and the way they behave, both at training and during matches against other clubs. We strongly encourage our junior members to wear cricket clothing whilst training and representing Attenborough CC and we hope parents will support us on this. It must also be noted that youth players must be in possession of a protective guard (box) whilst playing hardball in both the nets and in matches.
