AGM Highlights

33 Club members attended the 2014 AGM last night to review the previous year and hear about plans for the future.

After very many years serving the Club in various capacities Geoff Gooch decided to stand down from his role as President in order to focus more on watching and enjoying his cricket.  Dave Williams steps into the President's role to add to his existing workload of Legal / Rules, Fixtures Secretary and Club Welfare Officer.  We wish them both well.

Ben Sheppard moves to Club Captain with Craig Heiden taking over as 1st XI Captain as the Club returns to the top flight of amateur Nottinghamshire Cricket in the Nottinghamshire Premier League.

Sam Clulow is appointed to the committee to focus on the vitally important areas of social events and fundraising.  He also takes over responsibility for the 150 Club from Geoff Gooch.

After an association with the Club of around 40 years as player, groundsman and barman amongst others, Mike Aplin received well deserved Honorary Life Membership.

The meeting paid its respects to Phil Hughes, the Australian test player, tragically killed whilst playing cricket last week.  The Club also remembered those members and supporters that have sadly passed away in the last year: Geoff Vickers, Bob Aplin, Peter Wilkinson and Gladys Barnet.
