The 2s consolidated their advantage at the top of Division D and took a 47 point lead with a comprehensive 96 run win over West Bridgfordians at The Strand. Asked to bat first a steady opening partnership of 70 between Gordon Airey (50) and Pete Turner set the foundation for what was to follow. The first 30 overs yielded 99 runs but the following 15 saw 161 runs scored at nearly 11 an over. Chris Allcoat 62 (9 4s and 1 6), Martin Shoemaker 62 (8 4s and 26s) and Will 'Thunderclap' Shields 45 not out (2 4s and 4 6s) plundered the bowling to see the side finish on 260 for 3.

West Bridgford were never really in the hunt against such a large score although they held out to prevent full bowling points at 164 for 9. The wickets were shared around between Jai Jandu (3 for 33), Tom Shields (3 for 45) and Charlie Simkiss (2 for 14). See the full scorecard here.
The least said about the 3s ignominious 10 wicket defeat at Gedling and Sherwood the better.. Suffice it to say they were bowled out for a disappointing 71. Scorecard
Better news from the 4s as they won again on Long Lane against Eastwood Town. We managed 163 for 7 with the ever-reliable Carl Knight adding yet another 50 and then James Binnie with his second consecutive 5 fer saw us home by 37 runs. Scorecard
