Saturday Results - May 3rd

All of our Saturday sides were winners this weekend, albeit the 4ths won as a result of Farndon 2nds crying off at the last minute.

The 1sts won by 70 runs at Wollaton as they amassed 231 with Alec McKinlay falling just one run short of a century and Craig Heiden hitting a half century.  It was then left to Matt Ahluwalia, promoted after his 5 fer for the 2nds last week, with 4 wickets and Martin Rayner with 3 to reduce Wollaton to 161 all out.  Scorecard

The 2nds, playing their second game of the season were set a target of 201 by Hickling after Jai Jandu was the pick off the bowlers with 4 for 14.

Jai Jandu
Chris Allcoat with a second consecutive 50 and skipper Richard Henson with an unbeaten 50 saw the side home by 3 wickets with a couple of overs to spare.  Scorecard

The 3rds won their first game scoring 203 for 7 with James Grenfell collecting 50 with good support from Stephen Gray and Matt Shaw with 30s apiece.  Basford Mill were then reduced to 12 for 5 before being bowled out for 72 with Callum Turney claiming 3 wickets and James Grenfell 2.  Scorecard
